Oh Tobias… and… once I’m able to change the background colour to a darker colour, I’ll need the text in those rows to be white, so you can actually see the text.
Nearly forgot that part.

ok, it seems you are actually trying to change the colors of the header row? Then, the FAQ entry https://tablepress.org/faq/change-background-color-table-head-row/ will be a better solution.
