I’m trying to change the title ‘ Organizer’ to ‘Organiser’, but nothing appears to work. I’ve modified the English language file where it mentions the word Organizer but this doesn’t appear to have any affect.

Is there a simple solution to change wording? Am I modifying the correct file?

I’m not sure, which file did you modify? Remember changing a .po file will result in no changes unless you also compile it to a .mo file.

I modified the file ‘tribe-events-calendar.pot’. Is there more to it than changing the text on that file?

Yes there is – the .pot is the master catalog of words (in the original language) that are available for translation. A .po file contains language-specific translations and you would normally make this as the next step, as the .pot file is generally already provided by the plugin author – as it is in this case.

Last but not least, you need to compile your .po file to a .mo file in order for it to be usable by WordPress.

It’s really beyond what we can help you with to guide you through this, but if you search for translation and gettext tutorials you’ll probably hit on some decent learning resources.

    Good luck!
