# Change Theme

 * I administer [http://ifieldparish.org](http://ifieldparish.org) and wish to change
   its theme to one called “Longevity”. But before going live with it will want 
   to make some changes. Being a complete novice I have no idea how I can do this
   without interfering with the current theme, neither do I know how I would upload
   the site with its new theme if and when I manage to make the change.
    I would
   be very grateful if someone could send me some instructions and provide some 
   help to get me through this problem. Being 84, and having very little if any 
   proper knowledge about WP, I am rather careful when working on the current site
   in case I ruin what I have got already. Any constructive help or advice you can
   supply will be very much appreciated. ronbin85

 * Somehow a weird web site appeared on my screen asking for my credentials, eg 
   password and user name? I gave the necessary information and ended up with something
   called MANAGEWP – WORKER. I don’t know if it is OK or not but it deposited a 
   Plugin on my web site which I have deleted. I did a virus scan but nothing was
   found. Have you heard of this plug in at all please?

 * I give up, I have tried all three links shown in your post and got absolutely
   no where, it’s the penalty for being old. I just cannot make head or tail of 
   it all. I need some simple plain language instructions to get me going. Thaks
   for what you have done already.

 * Well, the key factor here is experience with working wordpress, nothing more 
   🙁
    if you can’t do such thing then i suggest to leave this because you will 
   damage your existing site
