• I have seen question after question related to and asked on this topic, to the point that I am beginning to believe that there are really no experts available to answer users questions here…that being said:

How do I change the word comment to another word…say “Critique”…and I mean universally in every spot on WordPress TwentyTen that the word Comment and or Comments appear. This should not be rocket science, and I fail to see why this should be so complicated. If changing one word is so difficult then WordPress.org is irrelevant. Please say it ain’t so.

Once again, I want to go to one or two spots in the codex and put the word “Critique”/”Critiques” in for “Comment”/”Comments”. If you really don’t know the answer to this then please do not waste my time…I am in need of an expert. Thanks.

  • Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. Your changes will be over-written the next time you upgrade WordPress. For this reason, it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations. Once your child theme is active, you need to go through every template and replace the word manually.
