I have a blog that’s called “Write a Better Novel,” but it evolved from an earlier concept, so its domain name is truevoice-blog.com. The blog has a lot of good free content but I don’t get a huge amount of traffic. I want to start promoting to change that. But people are always confused that the title and URL are so different, and I don’t blame them.
Here’s my question: I’ve acquired writeabetternovel.net and want to set up a forward to the old URL and start promoting with the new one. Is that okay to do? Or will that have unforeseen bad consequences? And is there a resource that will tell me how to do this properly, so that all the SEO bases are covered?
