• Hello,

I’m trying to put the previous and next month in full, for example, July has become Jul, in the theme’s calendar widget (in French this gives Juil for Juillet).

I can’t find where I could make the change.

    Cordially,

    Claude

  • Hello @claudeblet,

This is a calendar widget for WordPress, and it works with your blog posts, so you can not show the “next” month at the first view(maybe you can find a plugin from WordPress repository to manage it on your website).

Regarding the “Juil” link, please head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalink; without changing, just click on the save button(the Postname is the best option for WordPress permalinks).

If the above step didn’t help you, please do the steps below:

For troubleshooting, please do the following steps and let me the results:

1- Head over to WP Dashboard > Plugin.
    2- Deactivate all plugins.
3- Then, first activate the Ocean Extra plugin.
    4- Check your issue.
5- Then, activate your plugins one by one
6- After activation of any plugins, check your issue

Note: if you have a cache plugin or server cache. You need to clear its cache contents or disable them.

    Best Regards

    Hello Shalin,

No, I did everything but Juil remains Juil and is not translated in Juillet. Thanks in advance,

    Best regards,

    Claude

    Hello @claudeblet,

Regarding the translation, changing the site language to French will change the calendar to French: https://i.postimg.cc/rwqLMJvV/image.png. We do not have any date translation extension in OceanWP as of now.

Also, you can use third-party plugins, e.g., Using Loco Translate plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/ then find your string and translate it: https://i.postimg.cc/hGFZKPJ9/image.png.

Finally, please check this screenshot: https://i.postimg.cc/yY88T78X/image.png.

    Please keep me posted.

    Hello Shahin,

I still can’t find the month abbreviations for the OceanXP calendar!
I will continue with loco translate, thanks again.

    Cordially,

    Claude

    Hello @claudeblet,

What is the OceanXP? Do you mean OceanWP?

Your issue is not related to the theme or plugins. The calendar widget is included on WordPress, so you need to go to WordPress translation on Loco Translate plugin. On this screenshot: https://i.postimg.cc/yY88T78X/image.png, I show it’s included in part on WordPress.

    Best Regards
