    sonialombardo,

I assume you mean “required”. I have considered this before, however have chosen to require the rating field as a bare minimum for a testimonial/review. I am curious if there is a reasonable use case for which the rating field would need omission. If you have ideas on this, please let me know. I am certainly open to exploring the idea.

    Thanks,

Yes “required”, sorry for my bad english.
I would like to use the form for contacts too and don’t force the users to leave a rating if they don’t want.

    Sonia,

This becomes tough, just because with this would require a significant change in how the reviews are handled on the back end. Average Reviews and Rich Markup would be effected by the ‘reviews’ being used as contacts stored in the database. With no rating attached, they would have to be handled in an entirely different way than how the plugin is built to work. Since, the plugin is built as a review/testimonial system, almost all of the functionality is built around the value of the rating fields. This means, to achieve what you’re looking for, there would either have to be a special category for “contacts” used with custom handling, or contacts would have to be the sole use of the plugin. In either case, this is really not the purpose of this plugin. So, while I do admit that this is a creative way to use Rich Reviews, the optional Rating field is probably not something that I will add to the plugin.

    Thanks, however, for the feedback,
