Change the message ‘Permission Denied’ ?

I would like to change the error message ‘Permission Denied’ to ‘Permission Pending Approval.’

I’m using another plugin that requires manual user approval. The first message the user sees after completing registration is ‘Permission Denied.’ That confuses people, so I want to change the message. How can I do this? Thank you
