change the default language of the site without losing the rank

    Hello
    My site is trilingual and I want to change default language to English
    I have near 700 pages that indexed and many of them have good ranks
    What is the best way to avoid losing my credits and rankings, i want change home page to English
    my site URL Structure for different languages is:
    https://matab365.com/
    and
    https://matab365.com/en/
    and
    https://matab365.com/ar/
    as you see I manage them by sub directory and I use WordPress WPML plugin

    If you mean rank as in search rank, I would recommend that you speak with an SEO expert who would give you the right guidance. If your pages have a good ranking already, it is usually not recommended that you change the default language, but an SEO expert would review your current analytics and the need for changing the default language and advise you about the potential benefits and risks.
