[resolved] Change the content within {DOWNLOADS} tag in email (4 posts)

I have a client who wants to change the conformation email but the way he wants to change it means I need to ammend what the {DOWNLOADS} tag actually renders.

    So rather than

    --------------- DOWNLOAD DETAILS ---------------
These are available for download via:
    http://website.co.uk/?page_id=9
    Email: customer@email.com
    Code: nMcQ2u5BEL

He wants it to render as

    --------------- DOWNLOAD DETAILS ---------------
Download your product (s) in three simple steps:
1: Copy this code: (CODE SHOULD GO HERE)
2: Click this link and paste your code (link to download)
    3: Click 'download'

Which means I need to be able to unpick the contents of the {DOWNLOAD} tag. I'm pretty competent on the code side, I just can't find where this piece of code is located.

    Any ideas?

This would involve a MAJOR hack of the eShop plug-in as the customer's details are handled via a post form - not _GET variables (which is what you seem to want to do). In short, it's not suitable for this.

actually.. there maybe hooks in there to allow you to add other codes to the email, have a look at the eShop extras plugin: http://quirm.net/eshop-add-ons/

Plus, you can construct a new downloads shortcode, preferably called something else, that you can use in it's place. That might allow you to do what you want.

Remember: Don't edit the core code use a small extra plugin instead.
