Hi,
Can’t figure out what I am doing wrong but I’ve been struggling to get any css to change the font weight and colors of the current menu item. Could someone please have a look at this code:
#top #access .menu-header .menu .current-menu-item{ border-left:1px #fff solid!important; background:red!important; color:green!important; font-weight:300!important;}
Thank you

please post a link to your site so that somebody can check if the CSS gets applied, or what CSS is needed.
The site is:

better do not use !important with every style in the child theme; if you use the correct selector, using !important should not be necessary.
!important
try styling the link; i.e.:
#top #access .menu-header .menu .current-menu-item a { ....... }
Thank you Michael!! Worked a charm! I’m new to WordPress so you’re (and Nobita’s) advice is invalueble!
