    Hi,

It sounds like you would like to have more control over the Credit Card icons and the buttons used. Have you seen this section in the Stripe documentation?

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#section-35

You should be able to target those and modify.

Can you take a look at let me know if that’s what you are referring to and if that helps?

    Thanks!

    Hi Shane
No that is not it. I am happy with Visa and MasterCard icons.
The only thing I want to change is the Google Pay icon. It looks more like a tv/cable company logo than Google pay.

    Thanks

    Hi,

The link you sent does not work. https://staging-xupeqone.kinsta.cloud/product/traeform-fra-aurion-bageform-i-boegetrae/ I see a 404.

So I am not quite sure what you are referring to.

Can you please take a screenshot and show me what you mean? Or send a link that is working?

    snag.gy works well for this.

    Thank you,

    Hi there Michael,

    Thanks for confirming.

So your query is around the icons for Google Pay which are showing on the site vs what is showing in the official Brand Guidelines.

The “Pay Now” button is controlled by Stripe.com and not our plugin so this is something which I’d recommend speaking to Stripe.com about. You can see the icon mentioned in their documentation here – https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button

I will mark this thread as Resolved as this behavior is not something we can control, but please do open a new one if you need any more help!

    Thanks,

    Hi Dougaitken

I have been in contact with Stripe and they say Google Pay button is something WC should change and not Stripe.
The below is from our chat:

    Hi Michael,

This is Grace from Stripe Customer Support. I am following up on our earlier chat today.

Below I have the transcript from our chat so you can provide this to the Woocommerce support team. In regards to the Google pay button they are the ones who have access to the coding that changes the buttons appearance. Here is some documentation that can help with changing the appearance:

    https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/reference#payment-request-show

    https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button

I hope this information helps and you are able to get the logo changed. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach back out.

    Best regards,
    Grace

What do you think about that?

    Cheers

    Hi there @michaelgimm,

    > I have been in contact with Stripe and they say Google Pay button is something WC should change and not Stripe.

Our Stripe Gateway settings only allow changing the following properties of the button:

    Link to image: https://cld.wthms.co/uBL58c

Making the changes you want might be possible with some custom code. I can recommend the following places for more development-oriented questions:

    1. WooCommerce Slack Community: https://woocommerce.com/community-slack/
    2. Advanced WooCommerce group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/advanced.woocommerce/

    Cheers!

    Hi Elvira
I know almost everything is possible with custom code 🙂
But I just think you are displaying the Google Pay totally wrong. It looks like the brand logo from Viaplay (try to google “Viaplay logo“) and nothing like the real Google Pay logo (try to google “Google pay logo“).
So it makes no sense to me, why it should look like this. Even though the plugin is free, which I am grateful for.

Apple Pay however looks just like it should.

But are you saying that it looks correct in your opinion?

    Cheers
    Michael

    Hey @michaelgimm

I hear you! I’m going to speak to the team and see if we can work with Stripe on this as looking at the Google Pay branding page, it is clear this is different that what the Payment Request button looks like – https://developers.google.com/pay/api/web/guides/brand-guidelines

    Thanks,

Good to hear. I will look forward to it, thanks 🙂
