Sorry for noob question. If it possible to create new custom post type and inherit another template from my theme? I mean not post, but page or portfolio.

Ok, I believe it’s not possible. Any suggestions how to achieve that? Where can I modify the look of custom post type?

post type archives inherit from archive.php and single.php. I’d recommend looking over https://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy
