Settings->permalinks doesn’t do the trick?

Sorry I was not specific enough …
The permalinks are working fine but after clicking on a portfolio item the permalinks shows a part of the portfolio php-file name in the permalink.
For example: http://www.domain.com/portfolio_1/item1
So I want to remove the portfolio_1 from the permalink.

That url IS the permalink and it not your theme making them, but WP. What are your permalink settings?

Seriously? You got that working? I once wrecked my website trying to do that!
Right, so I’m wrong, your permalinks are somehow overwritten. I doubt by the theme, but do you use some kind of plugin for that portfolio? Does that plugin have some kind of settings?

No plugin, it is fully integrated in the theme and there are no settings to change this.

I guess it’s time to start reading the themes files then. I’d start with the header.php, but that’s just a guess. I’m not much of a coder btw, so if it’s really your theme and it’s not really obvious, it’s most likely beyond me.

Thanks for showing me some directions … I will digg deeper into this.
