Change ordre status AND leave a note

    Hi all,

    How can one change order status AND notify customer at same time?
    For example, I want to set order status to “completed” and let customer know tracking number for their purchase.

    As far as I can see, this is two separate actions that will produce two separate e-mail to a customer.

    Also, would be good to make a note on the order, visible by customer, but not generating an e-mail (“notify a customer” option).

    I found this in documentation:

    But is no longer supported?

    Hi @rudolfl,

    When you add notes to an order, they are for internal purposes and do not cause the customer to be notified.

    However, when you change the order status, a customer will be notified depending on what status you change to.

    If what you’re looking for is a way to add a tracking number to an order and notify the customer about it once you change the order status to “Completed”, the Shipment Tracking extension is just what you’re looking for.

    I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved now.
