Change or remove ‘/downloads/’ from product url

Yes, you can change the EDD product page URL slug as you want. Please refer below document for it.

You just need to define this variable in your current theme functions.php file or WordPress config file.

After doing this, you should resave your permalink structure for the changes to fully take effect.
