[Resolved] Change Nav in Showcase Slider (Twenty Eleven)

  • Hi all,

I’m loving the slider for the featured posts (sticky posts)!

But I would need some help/advise with an issue I’m having…

I need to change the current navigation so it shows 1, 2, 3, 4ā€¦ rather than nice circular/squared buttons. Iā€™m struggling to find a way to do it due to my limited Php/Js knowledge.

The site where I’m trying to get this working: http://unstoppablesdocumentary.com/

I know it might be complex and I really appreciate any help/advise.

    Thank you guys

  • Are you using NextGen Gallery for the slideshow? If so I think it may be a setting. If you can confirm what you are using for your slideshow that would helpful to narrow down where to suggest to look.

    Hi Karmatosed

    Thanks for your response

Unfortunately I’m not using NextGen Gallery for this.
I’m using Twenty Eleven Showcase Slider (http://en.wp.obenland.it/twenty-eleven-showcase-slider/)
I did contact the author but I was kindly told to post this question in the WordPress support forum

    Thank you

    edit showcase.php;

    find (line 150):

    <li><a href="#featured-post-<?php echo $counter_slider; ?>" title="<?php printf( esc_attr__( 'Featuring: %s', 'twentyeleven' ), the_title_attribute( 'echo=0' ) ); ?>" <?php echo $class; ?>></a></li>

    change to:

    <li><a href="#featured-post-<?php echo $counter_slider; ?>" title="<?php printf( esc_attr__( 'Featuring: %s', 'twentyeleven' ), the_title_attribute( 'echo=0' ) ); ?>" <?php echo $class; ?>><?php echo $counter_slider; ?></a></li>

will possibly need a lot of re-formatting.

    Thank you so much alchymyth
I’ll check it right now šŸ™‚

    Hey alchymyth that’s brilliant!

It works like a charm šŸ™‚

No need to re-formatting, just a quick CSS adjustment is needed here.

Many many thanks, you made my day!

    Solved!
