Change mySql database name (created WP on a test server)

  • AardvarkGirl

    @aardvarkgirl

    I set up our first WP on our test server and named the database (mySQL/phpMyAdmin)according to the domain name on our test server.

    Then I made the stupid mistake of actually BUILDING the content for the site, installing plug ins etc.

    Now I need to make the site live under the clients domain name – and I need to change the database name to reflect who’s database it really is now. BLAH. Dumb girl. 🙂

    So – we have a windows server, MySql V5.5.51a, phpmyadmin V3.3.3-rc1, and I have no exerience with this. 😉

    Any help would be appreciated. Danke!
