 * Is it possible to override the generated markup? Can the template file be replaced?
 * Is it possible to make the anchor element wrap the whole list item
    (make the
   whole list item selectable instead just the title element)?

   let you set some kind of custom layout without any template file. Additionally
   the more versatile version [Ultimate Post List Pro](https://shop.stehle-internet.de/downloads/ultimate-post-list-pro/)
   let you set list items clickable as whole.
