is it just differences between free and pro ?

Yes, that’s mostly a free vs Pro thing. The Pro version uses a slightly different versioning approach. That’s because the plugin was originally sold through a store that didn’t allow version numbers like “1.2.3” and only accepted “1.23”. I’ll probably switch back to the more traditional “x.y.z” system in the future.

also are there any major updates planned for 2.0 ? 🙂

Perhaps 🙂 There are some big, frequently requested features that I’m “saving” for 2.0 (mostly because they take a long time to implement). There might still be a couple of minor patches/releases before we get to 2.0, however.
