Change Login Look

  • Hi,

I’m almost ready with the look and feel of my blog. The only thing I would like to change is the login page (different background color and logo). Would you be so kind to let me know which files I need to adjust?

    Thanks for helping me out,

    Mark

  • You’ll need to adjust the files in your wp-admin folder to change the login page. This will also further change the whole admin area, unless you do some major editing.

    markvanovermeire.

the file you need to edit is admin/wp-admin.css

however since changing that does change the entire admin area, you might want to do what I did.. change the style sheet definition within wp-login.php/wp-register.php/etc.. to another .css and use the original wp-admin.css as your basis for that new new stylesheet (since the classses and whatnot are already outlined there for you).

hope thats less confusing than it sounds like to me reading it. It really wasnt all that hard to implement. my registration/login pages match my site quite nicely and it was worth the effort 🙂

Thanks a lot for your input! Great! I was able to have it my way.

    Have a nice weekend,

    Mark
