    Hi @adanewman!

Simply please save a copy of ffwd-de_DE.po, then rename it with your language code (e.g. ffwd-cs-CZ.po for Czech). Afterwards you can translate the strings in the file using POEdit.

Note, that you need to do all this locally on your computer. New .mo will be created for the saved copy, make sure to upload both .mo and .po of your language to /wd-facebook-feed/languages directory.

Let us know if this works.
    Cheers!

    Hello,
I was looking for the same question, but it doesn’t work. Any suggestion?

    Hello @melabyte!

Did you also make sure to change the language of your website from WordPress Settings > General tab?

I have reported this to our developers, if it’s possible, they will create a .pot file for translations. This will most probably fix the problem.

I’ll keep you posted when they respond.
    Cheers!

Thank you for your reply. I checked and the languade in wp settings is correct.
I look for other replies in your support forum, and I notice that some words cannot be translated, as they are set from Facebook. I want to translate the expressions “X days ago” and “View on Facebook”, I hope it is possible with the .po file 😉

    Hey @melabyte!

That’s right, that’s a big problem, since these incorrect translations are taken from Facebook API. And unfortunately it does not let us modify the translations.

I also checked with our developers, and .po files should work. In case the plugin is not being translated on your website at all, please contact us through this form and we’ll take a look.

Also make sure to mention the link to this forum thread in your message. We’ll publish the solution here as well.

    Thanks! Have a wonderful day!
