Change in WordPress 4.8 breaks smthemes

    I just came across the following issue:

    In menus wordpress 4.8 now outputs html <ul class='sub-menu' instead of <ul class='sub-menu'. (i.e. one space more)
    This breaks smthemes (like Mercury) which rely on a substitution.

    I already send them a mail, but maybe changing the behavior in wordpress back will prevent a lot of headache for other users of these themes.
