Change hreflang x-default

On this website here, we would like to see:
<link rel="alternate" href="https://bonesupport.com/en-eu/" hreflang="x-default" />

But what we get instead is:

<link rel="alternate" href="https://bonesupport.com/" hreflang="x-default" />

Is it possible to change the x-default?
