 * Yes, sure thing. Add the following custom CSS to your gallery:
 * .foogallery-default a {
    background-color:#f00 !important; }
 * That will go in the custom CSS metabox and it will make the hover effect red.
   Change the color to your taste

 * thank you for your message but i did this already on circle hover efect but i
   see square shadow behind circle thumnails.
