Hi, I’m new to WP. Everything mostly makes sense. I’m using a free version of Elegant Theme 2.2.0. It’s great so far but I really need to be able to change the title of a section of the home page. You can view my site here: http://www.briantuckerimages.com/wp I need to change the “Recent Works” title to read something like “View our portfolio”. I see the values for that header in the css but I can’t find where the phrase “recent works” is referenced in any of the editor files. This is where my knowledge of how WP works is low … maybe I’m asking a stupid question. Maybe I need a more customizable theme but I really like this one.
    TIA
    Brian

Unfortunately that theme is not hosted in the wp.org theme repository. Even though it is “free” it is still considered a commercial product. For that we recommend you go to the vendor’s official support channel so you can get support from the people who know it best.

Forum volunteers are not given access to commercial products so they would not know about the theme functionality or configuration. The vendors are the best resource for support of commercial products.

You need to edit the page and scroll to the last section and change the heading there.
Unfortunately, that is the max help you can get because this is a free forum and is meant only for themes and plugins which are found in WordPress.org repository.

Elegant themes are a premium theme shop, so you can/need to contact them for any support. Since you have pad them, they will gladly assist you.

Thanks. I was guessing I should look elsewhere. This whole .com/.org thing is a little confusing.

    Thanks!
