Change from multisite to single site

Hi there,

I am trying to install WOW slider but it is simply not showing up on my page. Support is citing the reason for that is because i am on a multisite installation. Now I do not need anything to do with multisites – this is a small website for a small company. I am very new to WordPress. I have not added anything to the config file, and I cannot see anything to do with multisites in there – there was some forum advice on removing the code that one added – but I didn’t add anything. Can someone please help with instructions for a complete dummy on how to change my site to a single site?
