change footer from site title to tagline

Hi, I have no idea about anything to do with coding or anything like that. I have been searching and searching for something on this topic, it is probably something so easy to fix. I currently have my site title showing up in the footer on my page, I want this to be my tagline instead – how do I go about this – I really need this in super easy and simple plain english as I don’t have a clue what I am doing. Any help is really appreciated.

Also, if my site title is taken out of the footer, will my site title still show up in google? Probably a really blonde question, but I need to make sure that my site title still shows up when people are searching for me. Thanks again
