Support » Plugins and Hacks » Change display position of plugins in a wordpress post

  • Hello, I have my site http://www.thejavageek.com and I’m working on changing the UI a bit. I have wordpress related posts and fancier author box plugins installed.

    What it is right now

For every post the order in which these are displayed is

    1. Post
    2. Related posts
    3. Author information
    4. Navigation links for posts

I want to show them in the order,

    1. Post
    2. Navigation links for posts
    3. Author information
    4. Related posts

Basically I would like to know how can I have more control over how plugins display information in posts.

I am not sure how can these things be done. It would be a great help if you can guide about it.

The navigation links and post author details will probably be handled by your theme. You’d need to ask the developer of the Related posts plugin about potentially moving these. I suspect the plugin hooks into the_content() which would make it difficult but s/he would know for sure.
