On a multisite environment with WooCommerce network-activated, the new sites are created with California as the default location for the store and USD as the default currency.

Is it possible to change those and other default values such as Taxes?

    Thanks!

    Hi @alephmarket,

You can configure WooCommerce separately within each store. You can connect the products, but you can have separate settings regarding the currency, the taxes, the shipping, etc. Each of the WooCommerce Settings can be set differently.

There is more information on how to handle multiple regions and currencies with WooCommerce here:

    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/handle-multiple-regions-currencies-woocommerce/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Mirko,

    Thanks for your answer.

I am aware of that but it’s not what I’m talking about.

    This is the scenario:
    – Multisite environment (regular multi-site setup through WordPress, not WP Multi Network plugin or similar)
    – WooCommerce network activated
    – Site registration is enabled

When a user creates a site and access the dashboard, he is presented with the configuration wizard where he can select the city/state/country and other information such as what is he selling, whether he is selling somewhere else, etc. He can choose not to go through the wizard and go back to the Dashboard. If he does so, the default values for the WooCommerce store are, among others, California as the location and USD as the currency.

Q: Is it possible to disable the wizard for new sites?

Q: Is it possible to change the default values for location, currency and taxes?

    Thanks!

    Hi @alephmarket,

    Thanks for the additional details.

Is it possible to disable the wizard for new sites?

You may find useful this thread where it has been discussed the same topic:

Is it possible to change the default values for location, currency and taxes?

As far as I know, there would be some custom code involved here to change or sync settings across all online stores within a WooCommerce Multisite, since it won’t be possible with the default WooCommerce functionality. You can consult with a developer or one of the customization experts listed at https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Thanks.
