    start by looking into index.php and single.php – http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Hierarchy

    some themes might be calling a template or function to display the post and date –
    we might need more information to provide a more precise answer:

    My theme is based in twentyten, it is modified theme with lubith tool, which is online theme generator.
    I am sorry but i cant find this data in single.php and index.php and also in functions.php :/ Maybe i can upload my theme, so anyone could check into this?

    can you post a screenshot to clarify which ‘recent posts’ you are referring to?
    afaik, the unedited Twenty Ten does not have a section like that.

    does the ‘lubith tool’ have any support forums where you could ask?

    http://prntscr.com/3ihhz6 They dont have any support forum.

    are you using any widget for the ‘recent posts’?

    if yes, which plugin are you using for that?

    if not, then this ‘recent posts’ section might be hardcoded into sidebar.php of your theme.

    I dont use any 3rd party plugins it must be some wordpress built-in plugin or something like that.

    which of the build-in widgets are you using for the ‘recent posts’ ?

    what is the code of sidebar.php in your theme?

    worxer

    (@worxer)

    i am using primary sidebar.
    Here is the code of sidebar.php

    <?php
    /**
     * The Sidebar containing the primary and secondary widget areas.
     *
     * This theme was generated with Lubith - The WordPress Theme Generator: http://www.lubith.com
     * It is based on Twenty Ten (WordPress 3.x default theme).
     *
     */
    ?>

    	<div class="container">

    		<div id="primary" class="widget-area" role="complementary">
    			<ul class="xoxo">

    <?php
    	/* When we call the dynamic_sidebar() function, it'll spit out
    	 * the widgets for that widget area. If it instead returns false,
    	 * then the sidebar simply doesn't exist, so we'll hard-code in
    	 * some default sidebar stuff just in case.
    	 */
    	if ( ! dynamic_sidebar( 'primary-widget-area' ) ) : ?>

    		<?php endif; // end primary widget area ?>
    			</ul>
    		</div><!-- #primary .widget-area -->

    	</div><!-- .container -->

    <?php
    	// A second sidebar for widgets, just because.
    	if ( is_active_sidebar( 'secondary-widget-area' ) ) : ?>

    	<div class="container">

    		<div id="secondary" class="widget-area" role="complementary">
    			<ul class="xoxo">
    				<?php dynamic_sidebar( 'secondary-widget-area' ); ?>
    			</ul>
    		</div><!-- #secondary .widget-area -->

    	</div><!-- .container -->

    <?php endif; ?>

    ok, I understand now – you are using the default ‘recent posts’ widget.

    there is unfortunately no way to change the output of that widget.

    consider to search the plugins for a customizable ‘recent posts’ widget; like this one:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/extensive-recent-posts-widget/

    screenshot of the used widget settings: http://imgur.com/KDLHHPZ

    some CSS to customize the output:

    .cw-erpv-posts .cw-erpv-post .post-date:before { content: ''; }
    .cw-erpv-posts .cw-erpv-post .post-date { float: left; margin-right: 5px; font-size: 11px; }
    .cw-erpv-posts .cw-erpv-post header h4 { display: inline; }
    .cw-erpv-posts .cw-erpv-post { margin-bottom: 5px; }

    the word ‘published’ is inserted via a :before style;

    to change it, add this in the CSS:

    .cw-erpv-posts .cw-erpv-post .post-date:before { content: 'PUBLISHED '; }
