Hi Chris,
Thanks for the compliment.
We intentionally disabled the currency drop-down as changing the currency setting for a product feed could have potential big impact. It would for example also mean that you would have to change the currency prefix/suffixes on the attribute mapping pages. We noticed users forgot this, switched the currency setting but forgot to change the currency prefix (such as USD, EUR, GBP etc) which caused some ‘unexpected’ errors in Google’s merchant center 😉
Hence, we figured it was probably safer to ‘force’ users to create a complete new feed when they want to change currency. It is not the most user-friendly solution but we want to prevent issues from happening which I just described.
Hope this makes sense?
All the best,
Eva
I see. Maybe a warning message next to the setting would have worked better 🙂
Could you at least enable this behaviour when copying feeds? It’s really time consuming to have to create feeds from scratch for each currency and setting all the mappings / rules / filters etc…
Thanks!
Chris
Hi Chris,
You clearly are on the old version of our plugin 😉
Update to version 4.3.4, clear your browsers cache and you should be fine.
All the best,
Eva
Thanks for the quick 30 minute fix Eva 🙂
Keep up the great work.
Hi Eva,
I just noticed that the Aelia currency switcher setting is not applying its magic on the shipping prices, could you check?
Thanks,
Chris
Hi Chris,
Are you using this plugin for that:
https://aelia.co/shop/shipping-pricing-for-currency-switcher/
Or just the exchange rate?
Best,
Eva
Hi Eva,
Just using the exchange rate. Would be great if it just used the right prefix and exchange rate applied to the shipping cost like it does for the product price.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
Just upgrade to version 4.3.5 and you will find that your shipping cost will be converted to the correct currency using the exchange rate.
All the best,
Eva
Awesome, will check out, thanks for fixing this fast.
Have a nice weekend.
