 * I see from the changelog that this feature has been removed. I understand the
rationale; my question is, what happens now to the site for which I had previously
done this via iThemes Security? The site appears to still be working normally
for now (images still load, etc.), and the define( ‘WP_CONTENT_DIR’ ) and define(‘
WP_CONTENT_URL’ ) directives are still present in the site’s wp-config.php file,
but since these directives were set by iThemes Security, is there a danger that
removing the module will change or remove those directives at some point?
 * (I actually changed the directory more for aesthetic reasons than ones of security—
I recognized at the time that its security-through-obscurity value was very small—
but I am obviously concerned about the potential damage if the directory is suddenly
   renamed back to wp-content!)

 * Hi [@ate-up-with-motor](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ate-up-with-motor/),
 * There won’t be any changes made to your existing site. So if you’ve already adjusted
the content directory, that change won’t be reverted. So your site will continue
   to function as normal.

 * Okay, that’s good to know. Thanks!
 * Like I said, it’s one of those things that undoubtedly provides little security
benefit, but would cause many problems to unexpectedly revert!

 * Good evening, I’m translating my question in the google translator, sorry if
you can’t understand me but I have a question.
 * what happens now with this update that does not allow changing the directory
my site may be exposed to attacks?
