Support » Fixing WordPress » Change colour of navigation bar on mobile phones

    I apologize as I didn’t know where to post this.

    I saw some websites that change the colour of the navigation bar when you are browsing with a mobile device (I saw them on Chrome on Android tbh).

    I have no clue about coding or anything.

    I want to put an overlay colour as you can see in the below link.

    The top bar is currently white and I want to make it pink.

    Can I do that?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    You just need to add a meta tag in the head of your code called “theme-color”.
    In this example it will make the navigation bar yellow:
    <meta name="theme-color" content="#ffcc00" />

    @davidlongftc very well

    Where do i find my code?

    I am a newbie.

    Oh sorry – it will depend on your theme and plugins whether you have an easy way to insert this code.

    Most likely you are using a theme you downloaded rather than one you made and the chances are it doesn’t have an option to insert code into the head in the menus.

    The best practice would be to create a child theme and edit your version of it but it’s a bit beyond this post to explain how that can be done – see here:

    If you can send me a link to the theme you are using I might be able to make a child theme with this change for you.

    I am using OceanWP ChildVersion: 1.0 By Nick

    @davidlongftc you can see a screenshot if what i see in the admin panel of the theme.
    How do i proceed?
