 * I am wondering how and were you change the colour of the text in the footer and
   the colour on the text in the slides. In which php files do I find them?

 * you dont have to go to php to change this.
    You need to add some css to your 
   themes or child themes css. Find the elements you want to change color and add
   css for that.
