    Hi,

    Put this CSS into your custom css or child theme style.css so that you won't lose all the changes made when the theme updates.

    Child themes are the safest way to go when doing all kinds of modifications.

    /*Post Background Color*/

    #primary {
      background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #COLOR;

    }

    /*Sidebar Widget Background Color*/

    #secondary .widget, #footer-sidebar .widget {
      background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #COLOR;

    }

    Where it says 'COLOR' delete and insert the hexvalue for the color(s) of your choice.

    This website is useful if you don't know the exact hex code.

    I hope that helps!

    Hello,

    Thanks for such a simple explanation. I love the theme.
    I changed as explained above, behind the text is white, which is great, but still have the grey surrounding the post... is there a simple way to make it white too please? I did have a look, but can't see where to do this.. Cheers.
    Prefer not to add site link at the moment...

    Another question, please. Figure it may be better to add it here as I could not find an answer elsewhere and it is related.

    How would I change the grey background behind the posts on the home page too please?

    I hope I did not miss it elsewhere! Cheers.

    Hi there,

    I think this is what you are looking for to remove the gray from the posts:

    .single #content, .page #content {
      background-color: #ffffff;
    }

    and perhaps this for the front page:

    #primary-main {
      padding-top: 25px;
      background-color:  #ffffff;
    }

    #content {
      background-color:  #ffffff;
    }

    I hope that's what you are looking for. Let us know who it goes :-)

    May I add one more question this, it seems related enough to keep in this thread...
    How would I change the border colour around the images on the home page of the blog from grey to something else please?

    Hopefully I am not being too much of a pest here! Cheers.

    Border color around the images:

    #primary-main .main-article {
      border: 10px solid #FFFFFF;
     }

    Just change the #FFFFFF to whatever color you want.

    Just in case you want to know how to change the background of the box once it has zoomed in, use this:

    .feat-thumb-holder {
      background-color:  #ffffff;
    }

    Your not being a pest at all. I'm glad to help! :-)

    Thanks so much yet again Luke!

    You even pre-empted the next question I was possibly not going to dare ask, regarding the background of the box when zoomed in... lots to play with now depending on my background colour/image at the time!

    I think I have finished with my questions on this one now! Hooroo!
