# Change author

 * Hi all
    We installed a plugin to to be able to change the author for posts but
   we are now on a quest to eliminate as many plugins as possible. How can we add
   new authors directly to the database? Thank you

 * The list of users is maintained in table wp_users Table.

 * Thanks, the authors are there due to the plugin. We deactivated the plugin and
   the author names stay, we’ll just change the author id in the DB when needed
