Support » Plugin: WP ULike » Change apparence of the widget

    I know the support for this plugin is non existant, so hopefully someone else can give advice?

    I tried changing the apparence of the widget, but nothing I do in the css files has any effect whatsoever. Does anyone know how to make changes to the visual apparence of the widget? For example, I want to move the counter (+2) before the title instead of after the title.

    Hi @danniee
    Of course that’s not the case, I’m just a busy man & I don’t have much time 🙂
    In the case of your problem, this is a styling issue and should be solved with CSS. For example, you can try flex display or use of absolute position on counter selector.

    @alimir sorry, I understand you’re busy :/

    I tried making changes in both css files but nothing happens with the widget. It seems to have no effect at all. Even if I delete all info in the css files it has no effect on the widget.

    I really want to move the counter in the widget to the front instead of the back. Could you please help me with this sir?

    For now I have solved it by swapping positing between…

    $result .= $show_count ? ' <span class="wp_counter_span">'.wp_ulike_format_number($post_count).'</span>' : '';

    and

    $result .= '<a href="' . $permalink . '" title="' . $post_title.'" rel="nofollow">'. wp_trim_words( $post_title, $num_words = $trim, $more = null ) . '</a>';

    …in the class-wp-ulike-widget.php file in admin/classes
