Hey there – the “alt” is taken from the General settings and it’s the name of your shop. If you update that, the alt text will change as well.

    Hey Job,

this was my first guess, so I went to WordPress admin -> “Settings” -> “General” -> “Site title” and changed it but nothing happened. So I thought – aha, this might be a caching problem, let`s delete cache! Unfurtunately nothing happened and alt text remaines unchanged.

My next research step was to check my other site with Storefront child theme and result is the same – alt text is link without “https://” and closing “/” just like at https://nej-gril.cz/

OK, so it seemed that something is overriding alt text behaviour so I checked the logo image itself and changed title, alt and description texts and voilà, it works! I am getting the result I wanted. See https://nej-gril.cz/

Good, very good, but how is that even posibble? 🙂

Hey @mirio, I actually have no idea. I wasn’t able to recreate the issue as here it’s working fine:

Well, what a strange phenomenon… 😀 Good thing is, that with your help, I was able to achieve my goal. So thank you very much once again.
