 * I need to change to admin mail on my clients site – but he never receives the
   confirmation mail where the change can be made.
 * I also tried changing it to my own email and here the confirmation email never
   makes it either.
 * What to do?

 * Hmm, that sounds like your hosting does not allow PHP mail() or your email server
   does not let it through.
 * However, an easy workaround would be to directly change the admin email in your
   wp_options database table. This way there is no need for the confirmation email–
   however, I do recommend you to investigate why emails are not working though –
   reaching out to your web host is a good first step.

 * I checked my mail and it allows PHP mail. Where do I access my wp_options database
   table?

 * If it allows emailing through PHP, it might just be filtered or go to spam on
   the receiving end as well. You might get more details or information with a plugin
   like [https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/).
 * Accessing your database can mostly be done through the control panel of your
   web host, such as DirectAdmin, cPanel, Plesk (check for exampel for phpMyAdmin),
   or a custom one – depending on who your host is. If you don’t know, your best
   bet is to reach out to your web host.
