# Change Admin Email

 * How do you change the Administration Email in the General Settings? All it ever
   says is Changes Pending after you enter the new email you want associated with
   the website.

 * Cancel that change from wp-admin. Then, go to yoursite.com/wp-admin/options.php.
   Scrolll down to “admin_email” and change the email address there.

 * You need to verify the new email address. For this purpose, your WordPress has
   sent you an email to this address at the moment of saving. This is what the “
   pending change” refers to.
 * If you have not received an email, it fails to send an email from your wordpress
   installation. This can have many causes, starting with the hosting. One solution
   to this would be to use an SMTP plugin or contact your hoster’s support.

 * Hi Steve thanks for the reply but that just goes back to “Changes Pending” which
   is what I got before.
