Change 301 redirect

    Hello

    I was wondering if anyone can help me.

    I have a blog http://www.carbonneutraltourism.co.uk.

    Last year I set up a 301 redirect file for this blog. I would like to change where the blog is redirected to. The only thing is I can’t remember how I set it up in the first place (I have limited experience with WordPress). Any help would be much appreciated.

    This may sound a stupid question but how to I change my htaccess file?

    Most likely in the root of the public accessible pages of your website..

    Login to your webspace via FTP and look in..

    /public_html/
    or
    /www/
    (will vary depending on server/host)

    Or if WordPress is in a sub-directory, look in there to.. (example: /public_html/wordpress/)

    You may need to enable “Show hidden files” in your FTP application if it’s not on by default (and the wording will vary depending on your chosen FTP program).

    You’re looking for a file that only has an extension..

    Copy it to the PC, make the adjustments then send it back..

    If you’re on a windows PC you’ll need to rename the file while working on it, since windows considers the name invalid.

    If your webhost has a file manager you may find it easier to make adjustments through there(instead of FTP), since it won’t require any transferring or renaming..
