• Where is this located?

    .site-header .menu-toggle::before {
    content: ‘\2261’;
    margin-right: 10px;
    }

    ChatGPT suggests the following:

    To replace the ‘\2261’ character with a Font Awesome icon, follow these steps:

    1. Include Font Awesome: If you haven’t already, you need to include Font Awesome in your HTML. This can be done using a CDN or by downloading and hosting the files yourself. Here’s an example using the CDN:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/font-awesome/6.0.0-beta3/css/all.min.css">
    1. Replace with Font Awesome Icon in CSS:
      For the hamburger menu, Font Awesome uses the fa-bars class for the icon. Instead of using the content property in CSS, you’d typically add the Font Awesome classes directly to the HTML element. However, if you want to use it in the ::before pseudo-element in CSS, you can use the Unicode equivalent for the icon.

    Here’s how you can do it:

    .site-header .menu-toggle::before {
      content: "\f0c9";  /* Unicode for fa-bars */
      font-family: "Font Awesome 5 Free"; /* Specify the Font Awesome font family */
      font-weight: 900; /* Needed for solid icons */
      margin-right: 10px;
      font-size: 24px;  /* Adjust this value as desired */
    }
    1. HTML: Make sure the .menu-toggle element is present in your HTML inside the .site-header:
    <div class="site-header">
        <button class="menu-toggle">Menu</button>
    </div>

    Now, when you view this in a browser, the Font Awesome bars icon should appear before the “Menu” text in the .menu-toggle button. Adjust the font-size in the CSS if you want to change the size of the icon.

  • Hi @ba95472,

    Thanks for reaching us,

    By default, the hamburger menu on the mobile device displays as fa-bars, shown in the screenshot here: https://prnt.sc/UdDadJi7tDbD. Now, do you want to change the current fa-bars appearing on the hamburger with some other similar icons? Please elaborate on your requirements a bit more, and I will get back to you.

    Regards

    Thanks Barsha for the reply! I use the free version of Spacious and the hamburger icon is very small left of the word Menu in mobile, almost irrelevant, and does not look like the screenshot you posted. Your screenshot is the size I’d like to see! If it’s just a matter of changing the CSS, great! That’s all I need, please just let me know what to change. Thanks again Barsha!

    Hi,

    I have added this code for my website:

    .better-responsive-menu .site-header .menu-toggle::before {
    content: ‘\f0c9’;
    font-family: FontAwesome;
    font-size: 25px;
    }

    btw, this should be fixed with a small theme update…

    regards, Frank

    Thanks Frank! Unfortunately, this seems to have no effect. I use the default version and not the “new responsive menu” because I like having the word Menu since the fa-bars are so small and since there are still people that don’t recognize the hamburger icon as the navigation.

    Ideally I’d like the bars to be as large as the “M” in Menu

    Hi,

    you only have to delete the code for the new mobile menu.
    Maybe you can try this:

    .site-header .menu-toggle::before {
    content: ‘\f0c9’;
    font-family: FontAwesome;
    font-size: 25px;
    margin-bottom: 15px;
    float: left;
    }

    regards, Frank
