Support » Plugin: WordPress Media Library Folders » Challenging to use

  • I initially installed the free version, created a folder, put images into it, and then went to a post to insert those images. But the folder can’t be found. Seems you have to pay your $29 for it to actually be useful. So I paid for it.

I found the interface to be cumbersome and not very friendly. And probably at least a quarter of the time when I would look in a folder, nothing would appear. Close it and try again, and there they were.

I also found that it appears to hide some images. I put in a support ticket for that. The response was to provide an admin account and they would look around. I provided an Author account instead, and several days later nothing had happened except changing the password.

In frustration I finally asked for a refund, which was quickly given. And I am thankful for that, at least. While it appears this product works well for many, personally I find it easier to scroll through a couple thousand pictures in the old media library than to use this product.

  • Hi Ed

I am one of the happy users of this plugin, both free and paid versions are working fine. I did have some minor issues that were resolved very quickly. One of the issues was caused by the plugin MailPoet, which indeed did not work. But that is under investigation. So maybe you could test again with all plugins except media library disabled. Or change the theme you are using. I expect that than the plugin will work as described!
Hope this will help for you,

Thanks for the feedback. It is possible that there was interference with other plugins. But I have already been reimbursed for the product and moved onto something else. It uses categories rather than establishing folders. And seems to integrate much better into Media Library.

You are welcome, glad that you found a solution working for you. As always there are more solutions in the world of WordPress
