I am using the free version of PP to provide site wide protection.

My site is responding very slowly. When I run gtMetrix I am getting a low rating due to a critical chain request. The critical path latency is 5.7s with the main problem being wp-content/plugins/password-protect-page/includes/views/dist/ppw-form-entire-site.css

Any suggestion on how to address this issue?

  • Hi @brucegyoung,

    Thanks for letting us know.

Could you please share with us a screenshot of the performance issue?

Our team has tested the sitewide protection function with gtMetrix tool on our side.

The result shows that it only takes 0.7 seconds out of 2.5 seconds to load our CSS file as per this screenshot https://nimb.ws/Db6RXH.

The CSS file is pretty small and it shouldn’t affect the page’s loading that much.

Having said that, there is a way to speed up the page load. We can help you switch the CSS file to inline styles instead.

Please drop us an email at hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that we can further assist you.

We look forward to your reply.
