CGI is taking over PHP

  • At one of my sites, the siteurl information in myphpadmin is wrong. It keeps changing it to http://educ.os42.com/cgi-system when it should only be http://educ.os42.com

This makes the site a complete mess with no css working, so I change it and it works as it should until I try and access my admin panel [which is also without css] and then it changes it back to http://educ.os42.com/cgi-system

I have just switched to DreamHost and Podz has suggested that maybe it is related to the fact that they run PHP as CGI

If anyone has any suggestions it would be great to hear from you.

  • Are you running 1.5 or an old 1.5 nightly? Old 1.5 nightlies had siteurl reset problems.

Yes an old nightly Ryan. I will upgrade to 1.5 Strayhorn and see if it resolves the issue.

    Thank you 🙂

Update: Resolved the issue by upgrading- thanks Ryan 🙂
