    hey guys
    sorry about the dumb request, but I’m not familiar with the CF7 syntax probably.

    Basically I want the recipient to know which URL they filled the form.

    I’ve put the below, generated with the CF7 shortcode generator, in the CF7 Module:

    [dynamichidden dynamichidden-715 “dynamictext dynamicname ‘CF7_URL'”]

    And this in the Mail text:

    Current Page URL:
    [dynamichidden-715]

    but what I get as an output is:
    dynamictext dynamicname ‘CF7_URL’

    Any chance you can help me understanding better how to implement it?

    thank you
    Marco

  • Your output is what the shortcode should be. Just add this to the form:

    [dynamichidden dynamichidden-715 “CF7_URL”]

    This is shown in an example on the plugin page (it uses ‘dynamictext’ instead).

    hi mate, unfortunately this would still output

    [dynamichidden-715]

    in the email form 🙁

    any other ideas?

    thanks a lot for your time

    P.S. for the sake of clarity, this is what I have in the CF7 module now:

    <div class=”form-group row”>
    <div class=”col-md-12″>
    [dynamichidden dynamichidden-715 “CF7_URL”]
    [submit class:btn class:btn-primary”Invia”]
    </div>
    </div>

    I got your code to work.
    My form has:

    [dynamictext dynamichidden-715 "CF7_URL"]
    [submit class:btn class:btn-primary "Invia"]

    I used ‘dynamictext’ so that I can see the url in the form. I recommend doing that during testing.

    This forum changes the quotes characters to pretty versions – they are not the same as the double quotes you will use in the form editor.

    Also, you can change ‘dynamichidden-715’ to a nicer name e.g. ‘form-url’ and then use [form-url] in the mail. It makes it easier to read and understand the fields in the mail.

    If you still have trouble then I’ll give you access to the test site where I have it working.

    Amazing – this works like charm now!!!
    thanks for the support, really appreciate it!!
