CF7 and reCAPTCHA API incompatibility?

    A few days ago I started seeing an error on contact forms on a couple sites:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘secret’ of null at a.wp.receiveEmbedMessage

    I suspect this relates to a reCAPTCHA API update because nothing else changed on either of these sites. I’ve since tested this on a development install of WordPress (4.9.8) with the default Genesis theme and CF7, no other plugins, and I’m seeing the same error consistently. I switched from Genesis to the default WP theme and I’m seeing the same, so it must specifically be a problem related to CF7 reCAPTCHA integration.

    My reCAPTCHA API integration on other sites (scratch-built CMS) are fine, likewise Ninja Forms on WP.

    There was a thread on this that was locked without resolution or explanation – some insight as to why it was locked might have helped.
