Certain functions always dump me out of the admin interface

    Ever since 2.7.x, I’ve got a few functions within WordPress that, whenever I use them, they “finish” by dumping me out of the administrative interface and back to my regular URL.

    These include adding images/media to a post (the pop-up window says that it wants to navigate away from the page) and the finishing aspects (after it reactivates) of updating a Plug-in.

    I’ve looked at various Plugins as being the cause, but I don’t think they are (disabled them one at a time to see if the functionality returned properly).

    I’m now at v2.9, and the problem still persists.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?
