For many purposes. Some cookies are used by the antispam algorithm, some prevent user from being locked out by mistake. The plugin uses randomly generated values for the cookies and does not store any personal, user related or sensitive data in the cookies.

Could you please be more specific? According to GDPR in our Cookies Declaration document we need a description for each cookie:
    cerber_groove
    cerber_groove_x_

    Thank you!

Yes, even for cookies that do not store any personal, user related or sensitive data, we still have to document their purpose. So if you could outline what they do, that would be great!

The purpose is: Protect the website from hackers, cyber criminals, spammers and bots. I believe this general description is more than enough for entities that doesn’t store personal identifiers.

Natural persons may be associated with online identifiers provided by their devices, applications, tools and protocols, such as internet protocol addresses, cookie identifiers or other identifiers such as radio frequency identification tags. This may leave traces which, in particular when combined with unique identifiers and other information received by the servers, may be used to create profiles of the natural persons and identify them.
